When we make a mistake we say we are sorry.
Imagine being someone who never had to say sorry to remedy the situation or issue you were in or created.
Imagine being able to fly or swim underwater or jump buildings.
I can a mile in six minutes, but never in three seconds.
I cannot communicate with animals.
The sun comes up and it goes down. No one can change that.
My hearing cannot tell what people are saying in total clarity. I cannot see through doors or walls.
For I am a student, a human being, and an athlete, but I have no unearthly powers or abilities.
I can get stronger physically, but nothing compare to what the fictional world considers strong.
I am susceptible to injury and death. I am not invincible.
So which power that a Superhero possess inspires you the most?
Which power makes you work harder in life?
Not just wanting it, but using the story-line and plot of which the power to inspire others, as motivation, and as a way to help humans to be successful in life.
The powers do not exist in real-life. But they can exist in the form of excitement, motivation, and determination in the hearts and minds of regular everyday people.
Sometimes fictional characters serve as motivators and teachers. I mean some say that is too deep of an interpretation of comic characters.
Why read books if you do not think about what you read, who you are reading about, and what it means to you, your life, and goals.
Are people curious? What is the writer trying to say, what are the implications of what is written, what is the point of the story?
Choose a Superhero for who they are and what they do.
Read the story. Find out about the character, their emotions, their feelings, they way they dress, their tone, their personal and professional life, what are their favorite things to do that are featured in the comics.
Make it an adventure, make each reading better than the previous. Get to know your favorite Superhero a little better.
Do not just read and say Batman defeated the Villains and he went back to Wayne Manor and had dinner with Alfred and Robin.
That is so lame and really if you 20 minutes and that is what you got out of your reading, I think A. your reading skills are poor or B. You must be just skimming through the pictures.
Comics have picture, but they are not picture books!
There is writing in them! There is a story more so than the pictures people!
And because the comics have pictures, I have told people I like comics and they say you must be rich to buy picture books.
By the way comics are not expensive. Compared to playing Magic or any other games its a lot less expensive.
You do not have to be rich to buy comics. You have to have a clear and creative mind to get the most out of your readings..
Do not listen to people who say comics are picture books because they are ignorant and they will never read a comic so they will continue to give bad information.
Do not let the critics and skeptics ruin the DC Rebirth and The Marvel Civil War II for you.
The true Marvel and DC comic fans know the events are important to them and nothing will ever change that.
The inspirations and the lessons the Superheroes teach us every week are valuable and that is why the readers keep coming back for each issue.
The readers have to prove to the ignorant and the critics that this event is the best!
With each issue that is the goal of the writers and producers. To impress, to inspire, and to grab peoples attention.
They hope you find a favorite. They hope you get excited!
Let's look forward to enjoying 7-20-16 which is New Comic book day!
And let us all forget about politics and the unrest and focus on reading a comic!
